Recycled and virgin cotton

The cotton yarn we use for capes and shawls consists of a variable percentage between 45% and 60% of GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled cotton, with the remainder made of OEKO-TEX certified virgin cotton.

Recycled cotton, produced from industrial textile waste (pre-consumer), is shredded and spun back into yarn. Because recycled fiber alone wouldn't be strong enough to form a durable yarn, it needs to be reinforced with virgin fiber.
