Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a cape and a poncho?
The main difference lies in the cut and how they’re worn. A women’s poncho is a closed garment with a head opening, worn like a soft, wraparound sweater with no sleeves — great for casual and practical style. A cape is open at the front, worn like a shawl and can also go over a coat — more versatile and suited for elegant looks.
How to wear a cape?
The cape is an easy-to-wear and super versatile garment: you can simply drape it over your shoulders, leave it open, or secure it with a belt or a brooch. It’s perfect even over a coat or jacket for a comfortable yet elegant layered look.
Can I wear the cape in winter too?
Yes, our recycled wool or recycled cashmere capes are warm and breathable. Worn over a sweater or as an extra layer over a coat, they’re perfect even in the coldest months.
Where are the capes produced?
All our capes are handcrafted in Prato, in our textile district. From spinning to tailoring, we oversee every step of the process with respect for people and the environment.
What is the length of a cape?
Rifò capes reach about mid-thigh, but the length may vary slightly depending on the model. You’ll always find detailed measurements on the product page to help you choose.
