Rifò’s recycled cotton beanie is made of a sustainable yarn – half organic and half recycled from industrial surplus, making it completely biodegradable.

MATERIAL

COMPOSITION: 50% recycled cotton from production surplus, 50% organic cotton. This certified yarn contains a greater content of organic, virgin cotton, which enabled the creation of a 100% sustainable and recyclable garment.

WASHING CARE: Hand washing is recommended. After, put it in a light spin cycle to drain excess water. Alternatively, wash it on a gentle cycle setting at a maximum of 30°C. Place it on a flat surface to air dry. Click here for more information on how to take care of Rifò garments.

RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

This garment is made with a yarn from the recycling of industrial cotton surplus. The surplus is carefully selected based on color and composition before being recycled. This process eliminates the need for re-dyeing the yarn, leading to substantial water savings and a reduction in the use of harmful dyes and chemicals.

MADE IN ITALY

This garment is meticulously handcrafted in Creazioni Ba-bo's workshop, located just 16 km from our office.

In 2022, we initiated a supply chain sustainability monitoring project focusing on social sustainability aspects, with the help of the auditing company Bureau Veritas. Creazioni Ba-bo srl underwent the assessment and was found to be compliant in all the areas analyzed, including declared working hours, no use of child labor, healthy and safe working conditions, and absence of critical environmental pollution.

NEI NOSTRI PANNI PROJECT

For every purchase made on our online shop, we donate €2 to the social impact project Nei Nostri Panni. This project aims to safeguard the artisanal skills of textile recycling in Prato, which are at risk of being lost without a new generation taking up these crafts. The donation will contribute to funding paid training for migrants coming from local reception centers. This initiative combines social integration with the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
