Recycled cashmere socks Ettore3rd generation
Ettore recycled cashmere socks are unisex warm knitted socks, ideal for protecting you from the cold in the morning, when getting out of bed is a trauma. We decided to make Ettore knitted socks fun playing with color contrasts. The whole foot of the Ettore socks is in fact a solid color, while the toe, the heel and the rib are composed of 3 threads of matching colors, mixed together to create a mélange effect. Rifò recycled cashmere socks have been improved compared to previous editions, the knit in the toe of the sock and in the heel is double, so they have been reinforced in the most delicate parts. Finally a minimum percentage of lycra gives them resistance and elasticity.

WASH: We strongly recommend that you wash your recycled cashmere garments by hand to keep their quality at their best. Alternatively, you can choose a machine washing at maximum 30° with a program for delicates. If you decide to wash them by hand, then do a light spin to drain the water, then dry naturally on a horizontal surface.
Ettore recycled cashmere socks are made by Lena and Bruno in the family workshop 10 km from us. To make Ettore's knitted socks, we used a yarn selected and recycled by the local "cenciaolis" of Prato.
The recycled cashmere we use is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, while the merino wool used is mulesing-free and is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified.

How to wear them
Comfortable and very warm, after having tested the knitted recycled cahsmere socks, we can say that you will never want to get out of bed in winter without! A cuddle for the home and a perfect sustainable gift idea.
How they were made
The Ettore recycled cashmere socks are made with a pre-loved yarn, because it was born from the regeneration of old clothes that continue to tell their story, despite having taken on a new shape. The old sweaters are in fact selected by color, reduced to fiber and transformed into a new sustainable yarn.
FOREVER SERVICE: If you want to give your Rifò sweater back after two years you can send it back to us and we will recycled it again. You will also receive a coupon to be used on our shop online. Visite the dedicated page for more informatio
Selecting old cashmere sweaters by color it is possible to avoid dyeing the recycled yarn again. This mechanical process therefore allows to save many liters of water as well as dyes and chemicals, preserving the water reserves of the planet. Furthermore, unlike virgin cashmere, recycled cashmere avoids the desertification of the Asian highlands where the goats producing the precious wool are intensively bred.
CERTIFICATIONS: Our recycled cashmere wool is certified GRS (Global Recycling Standard) while our merinos wool is mulesing-free and it is certified RWS (Responsible Wool Standard).
Who made them
Rifò cashmere socks are handcrafted by Lena and Bruno, the most beautiful couple in knitwear, in their little family workshop 12 km away from us. After a lifetime of working virgin yarns they are testing themselves and specializing in regenerated yarn.
