DETAILS

The Brisa kimono cardigan is a versatile piece that can be used as a cool beach cover-up or an elegant long fishnet cardigan. It comes with a comfortable waistband. Its linear kimono design and lightweight, breathable fabric ensure excellent comfort. The Brisa is sustainable, made of a combination of recycled cotton and organic cotton. The recycled material is sourced from textile scraps sorted by color, as to avoid additional dyeing.

  • Weight: 710 gr
  • Raschel knitting
  • Waistband

COMPOSITION: 50% recycled cotton from production surplus, 50% organic cotton.

WASHING CARE: To best take care of this recycled item, wash it at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. If possible, handwashing is preferable.

If you decide to handwash, give it a light spin in the washer afterwards to remove excess water and dry it naturally by laying it flat: this yarn may be subject to stretching due to the weight of the water.

FIT

COMFORTABLE: This garment has a slightly loose fit, which does not hug the body. According to your preferences, consider choosing the size that corresponds to your measurements or sizing down. See the size chart for further information.

ORIGIN

This garment was made with Raschel looms. The recycled cotton yarn is Oeko-tex 100 certified.

How it is made

Brisa's raw color comes from old garments sorted by color and then blended with organic cotton to be transformed into new yarns, as to avoid using dyes or chemicals. The wide-mesh fishnet structure of this Kimono was made on a raschel loom.

Environmental impact

Organic cotton is sourced from non-intensive farming methods that preserve soil quality and require less water. When blended with recycled cotton, this material combination results in substantial savings of resources and water. Additionally, the** selection of textile material by color** negates the need for additional dyeing, further reducing resource usage.

Social impact

For every purchase on our online shop, we will donate 2€ to the social impact project ** Nei nostri panni, cenciaiolis to be, which aims to create a school for cenciaioli, the artisans of textile recycling. Every donation will support the training of young people coming from the local immigrant reception centres.

Who made it

The Brisa Kimono is woven by David with the help of Gabriele, with looms that have been in operation for more than 50 years!

Transparent prices

Why do we say our prices are fair 365 days a year?

Because we choose to produce in Italy, with valuable craftsmanship.

Because we choose quality raw materials that are sustainable for the planet.

Because we produce small quantities to limit waste, which makes it difficult for us to lower unit costs.

That's not all. Compared to our costs, we have a low profit margin. We don't intend to accumulate wealth, we rather reinvest in research, which allows us to create value and grow as a brand.
