DETAILS

Recycled denim tablecloth made of old jeans transformed into new yarns and then into a new sustainable canvas. Perforated texture with polka dot effect created by laser technique.

Measurements: 

  • Square: 135 x 135 cm, up to 4 diners
  • Rectangular: 135 x 250 cm, up to 8 diners

COMPOSITION: 80% recycled cotton, 15% virgin cotton and 5% other fibres. What are other fibres? The yarns from hems and other trimmings in old recycled garments that cannot be traced.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: To take care of recycled denim wash it at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle or by hand. You can also dry clean and can tumble dry.

ORIGIN:

The home textile denim recycled fabric is made ofRCS (Recycled Claim Standard) yarns, and was designed and studied entirely by Rifò and woven by the looms of local producers. A creation process that takes place at 360 degrees and within a distance of just a few kilometres from our office.

The recycled yarns we use are certified.

SOCIAL IMPACT

For every purchase on our online shop, we will donate 2€ to the social impact project Nei nostri panni, cenciaiolis to be, which aims to create a school for ragmen, the artisans of textile recycling. Every donation will support the training of young people coming from the local immigrant reception centres.

But that's not all. The employees of the social cooperative CONVOI, and their laundry geared towards the employment of disadvantaged people, also took part in the creation of these products.

Have a positive impact

How it was made

The recycled denim home textiles are 100% cotton.

This sustainable denim cloth is woven from a yarn derived from old jeans.

The perforated texture on the other hand, punched to use a technical term, is made by laser burning, i.e. by subtraction of material, without adding any chemicals and without the use of water.

Environmental impact

To make each Rifò denim homewear accessory we can roughly reduce of 87% water consumption, 77% energy and 93% CO2 emissions.

Who made it

The accessories of the Rifò home line are made by Sandra in her family workshop, in the province of Pistoia. Here, together with her children and husband, a home linens tradition that has been handed down for decades is carried on.
