DETAILS

This kids unisex sweater is made of a blend of recycled and organic cotton. Recycled cotton comes from production surplus sorted by color as to avoid a new dyeing process.

  • Weight: 120 gr
  • Openwork pattern

COMPOSITION: 50% recycled cotton from production surplus, 50% organic cotton.

WASHING CARE: To best take care of this recycled item, wash it at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. If possible, prefer handwashing.

If you decide to handwash, give it a light spin to remove excess water and dry it naturally by laying it flat: this yarn may be subject to stretching due to the weight of the water.

FIT

REGULAR: This garment has a regular fit. We recommend your usual size. See the size chart for further information.

ORIGIN

This garment was made by Matteo in his family workshop, with recycled yarn from Prato.

This recycled cotton yarn is Oeko-tex 100 certified.

How it is made

We have successfully created a recycled yet entirely natural jersey fabric with the help of our material composition. The fabric comprises 50% recycled cotton sourced from industrial surplus and 50% virgin organic cotton.

Environmental impact

Organic cotton is sourced from non-intensive farming methods that preserve soil quality and require less water. When blended with recycled cotton, this material combination results in substantial savings of resources and water. Additionally, the** selection of textile material by color** negates the need for additional dyeing, further reducing resource usage.

Social impact

For every purchase on our online shop, we will donate 2€ to the social impact project Nei nostri panni, cenciaiolis to be, which aims to create a school for ragmen, the artisans of textile recycling. Every donation will support the training of young people coming from the local immigrant reception centres.

Who made it

This garment was made by Matteo in his knitting workshop near Pisa.

With the whole team, every stage of design and processing is followed in this small but very attentive company, putting as much love and know-how as possible into each and every product.

Transparent prices

Why do we say our prices are fair 365 days a year?

Because we choose to produce in Italy, with valuable craftsmanship. Because we choose quality raw materials that are sustainable for the planet. Because we produce small quantities to limit waste, which makes it difficult for us to lower unit costs.

That's not all. Compared to our costs, we have a low profit margin. We don't intend to accumulate wealth, we rather reinvest in research, which allows us to create value and grow as a brand.
